BoG iPay is Bank of Georgia's flagship online payment gateway, live since 2018, holding 60%+ of the Georgian e-commerce market today. It accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro cards from BoG holders and international visitors alike. A key plus — native installment button which surfaces 3, 6 or 12-month payment options at checkout with zero extra integration. Subscription (recurring) billing has been supported since 2023 — important for SaaS, gym memberships and online courses.

Integration architecture comes in two flavours: (1) Hosted Payment Page (HPP) — the user goes to BoG's secure page, enters card data, returns to your site — easiest, PCI-compliant by default, 4-6 hours setup; (2) Direct API + tokenization — card form appears on your UI, goes to BoG for tokenisation, then payment flow — requires PCI-DSS audit ($3,000-$10,000/year), 3-7 days setup. Fraud protection — built-in 3D Secure 2.0 (Visa Secure, Mastercard Identity Check), risk scoring, automated chargeback handling. Stats (BoG Q4 2025): chargeback rate 0.18% (industry average 0.6%), fraud rate 0.04%. Settlement timeline — T+1 business day to GEL accounts (USD T+3). Reconciliation reports — daily CSV or real-time webhook.
